I spent most of the day at River fest with my girlfriend. We took in the sites and sounds of the day. Had a Great time. I have seen alot of groups in my day and I wanted to let you know that Mike and the Monsters was by far the best band there! You should be on the larger stage next year as far as Joan and I are concerned. It would'nt suprise us to see you opening up for a group at SPAC! Great Job! Andy and Joan

Is it true that your band is being filmed this weekend at the Troy River Fest, and that Chris Cornell is making a suprise / jam guest visit with Mike and the Monsters for 2 songs? for an upcoming reality show on the discovery channel? There's been a person who was less than pleased with one of our shows and left some hurtful comments here on our site. Some of our friends and fans returned fire to this unhappy person and it became a "tennis match" of less than positive remarks. We appreciate the defense from our fans and friends but lets not get into a negative vibe with this obviously "unhappy" person. Hope she sees us in a different light if she ever sees us again. And if she doesnt, well....what ever! As hard as we try, we cant please everyone. All of her negative remarks have been removed from the quest book and she has been blocked from leaving anymore negative remarks. Let's think of positive things to discuss rather than causing a negative vibe. To much negativity in the world as it is.

You tore it up at the Catskill Mountain Thunder Spring bike run. Hell of a show you guys put on and rocked like a Hurricane! Everywhere you guys go it's one huge rock n roll party! Thanks for kick starting my heart and feeding my need for rock and metal to keep me going strong.

Are you aware that there was an 8 piece blues band in the Fargo, ND area from the mid-80's to 2003 called Mike and the Monsters? I was a member for about 7 years. Hope to get to the Albany area again soon to check out your group.

Caught you for the first time past week. LOVE the female rockers tribute. Excellent voice. You hit those highs well. Would have loved to hear some "gristle" in there. Such as Garbage- I think I'm Paranoid, Stupid Girl etc. Blondie- any of her punk. Breeders- Cannonball. Maybe even some SpaceLord by Monster Magnet. Didn't stay whole time so may have missed but also some real shredding solo instrumentals. Any Metallica early stuff? Here's an out there one- Carly Simon, You Belong to Me. etc. Rock on. Need more women hard core rockers in my opinion.

I first want to say how Freak'n awesome this band is!!!!! I have such a blast every time I go see them and I love Rock' n out to everyone of the songs ; ) I can't wait to see you guys tomorrow (all in support of the new twins..) I hope you remember me I'm the guy with the shaved head from New York City who was dancing with some insane chick at your gig Wednesday 8-6 in Saratoga. She actually ripped my shirt in two and chewed my buttons off. What was my favorite shirt is just a memory now but all well worth it. I was with two of my buddies and we hit about 5 bars around that area, was every band we saw a folk group!! After we walked out of what I think was our fourth bar I heard actual drums and I said to my friends follow me. We came upon Mare and heard frigging AC/DC blasting through the speakers and I said we are going here! Needless to say 3 hours and 12 Kettle Ones later we had the best time dancing with your band. I mentioned to Mike and I believe the drummer we are from New Jersey and all work in Manhattan so to say we have seen our fair share of cover bands in the last 20 years is putting it mildly. I personally have worked in numerous bars where we feature cover and original bands. I'm not blowing smoke up your butts but you may have been the best cover band I have ever seen. I just wanted to thank all of you for finally a cover band who expands their set lists to more than the same 10 songs I hear all the time. If I ever hear Pour Some Sugar On Me again I think I'll crack. You guys rock! How do we get you to the Jersey Shore? I have a couple of good contacts down there if you want a really great gig and you want to travel, the Jerseyites would love you. Best of luck to the band. We have already booked our trip to Saratoga for 2009. Granted we do love the horses and the beautiful track but the highlight of our mini vacation was Mare on Wednesday night with that sexy Mike and her Monsters. You guys are great.
